Description
Flap Discs are created by overlapping coated abrasive flaps and adhering them firmly to a back-up plate. As the product is used the abrasive wears down and new layers of abrasive is exposed underneath, which could provide a very consistent finish over the life of the disc.
This abrasive flap discs are characterized by fast-cutting alumina zirconia mineral on durable polyester backed flaps for greater cutting power, and longer life on heavy duty applications such as weld removal, sharp-edge work, and beveling.
Application
- Grinding
- Stock Removal
- Edge Chamfering/Beveling
- Weld Blending
- Deburring/Deflashing
- Rust Removal
- Cleaning and Finishing
Features & Benefits
- Zirconia Alumina abrasive grain: Could provide extended life and more cutting power compared normal a/o
- Heavyweight polyester-backed flaps: Could provide longer life on high-pressure applications such as sharp-edge work and beveling
- 5/8″-11 Threaded hub: For easy attachment and removal
- Type 29 fiberglass backing: Could provide optimal grinding angle of 10-25 degrees, allows full use of the disc, and won’t mar the work piece
- One-step grind and finish: Could reduce down time and finishing costs
- Tough construction: Could allow for aggressive edge grinding
